Scribe seva for visually impaired students is a distinct seva by the Chennai Metro Region. The uniqueness of this seva is that almost 50% of volunteers are not ‘so called members’, and a large number of youth and pre-sevadal students also actively participate in this Seva.
Since 1995, nearly 220 sevadals from 3 districts of Chennai Metro Region, have benefitted 220 students. Thus, proving to the world that service with a pure heart is the way to build humanity.
The Seva activities include writing revision exams for the visually impaired, reading aloud the study material, and scribing examinations at various educational centers across Tamil Nadu. Along with studies, Bhajan singing activity is also carried out every Saturday. Mahila participants showed an incomparable enthusiasm for the scribe Seva by visiting the institutions and aiding the students in their studies and writing the exams on students’ behalf.
