Humankind will be eternally grateful to Mother Easwaramma for it was her three wishes from her son that led to mammoth projects in Educare, Healthcare and Sociocare.

Over the last 50 years, each of these have fructified into gigantic, exemplary, state-of-the-art and world class institutions in the form of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning and allied educational institutions, the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences and allied health care institutions and the Sri Sathya Sai Drinking Water Supply Projects, in many parts of India and the world.

Each of these institutions is exemplary and a role model worthy of emulation by other institutions. They are testimony to His declaration that when any activity is undertaken with a noble intention – resources, both human and financial, would be easily available. Sri Sathya Sai Baba has shown through His personal example as to how this is possible and doable.

As an exemplary leader, He has shown man the path of Karma Yoga – detached and selfless action as a means to personal redemption through social wellbeing. Moreover, He has provided a platform to lakhs of individuals to channelise their interests and energies, capabilities and compassion for the benefit of humanity – Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, a unique ecosystem for self-discovery and nation building. With an active membership of over a million members across the world and physical presence across 120 countries of the world, they have an international character. With its multi-religious and multi-ethnic membership, they have an universal appeal. They have been started to give each one of its members the chance to understand and translate into practice the triune principles of work, worship and wisdom – Karma, Bhakti and Jnana for self-tranformation. The three wings of this organisation have been classified on these very themes – Service (Karma), Devotion (Bhakti) and Education (Jnana).

Sri Sathya Sai Baba has unfolded the Divine Master-Plan of initiating the process of universal transformation through this Organisation. But He has put a caveat. This universal transformation is possible only through individual transformation. The Golden Age that He has promised, will not descend from the heavens, but from the heavenly actions of our daily life and conduct. He has thus given us two-fold responsibilities: Atmano Mokshartham – to continuously endeavour towards our individual spiritual emancipation; Jagat Hitayacha – to contribute to the welfare of society, as part of this journey.

Depicted below are snapshots of the models of Educare, Medicare and Sociocare that Sri Sathya Sai Baba has gifted to the World not merely to cure and alleviate the suffering, but to inspire humankind to lead a life for the welfare and service of others and instill confidence in the one’s own self that with a noble intention and a strong determination even the mightiest of the tasks can be achieved.
