Divine Love of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Flows Into Ladakh

With the divine grace of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust in association with the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, India extends its support to the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Charitable Hospital in Leh, Ladakh, as part of the MediCare initiatives.

This joint initiative aims to equip the hospital with state-of-the-art medical equipment and infrastructure to revive the 40 bedded facility fully functional, significantly elevating the healthcare infrastructure in Ladakh.

The project will enable the Mahabodhi hospital to offer medical care to the local community fostering a healthier and happy society thus aligning their vision of uplifting humanity through compassionate service and selfless love.

The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations India and has been rendering Seva in the Himalayan mountains of Ladkah Union Territory over the last two years with the support of the CRPF and Ladakh Police .

With the immense grace of Bhagawan Baba, a team of 29 members with 9 doctors this morning for a 3 day Medical Seva in Leh and Kargil districts of Ladakh .

In the year 2022, a Buddhist International centre – Mahabodhi International Meditation centre founder President Venerable Bhikku SanghaSena met the team of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, India while they were on Medical Seva in the year 2022.

Immensely blessed by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba,in the year 1985 , Venerable Bhikku SanghaSena was directed by Bhagwan to take up the path of Seva.

Reconnecting to Swami and the Mission of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Venerable Bhikku SanghaSena visited the holy place of Prasanthi Nilayam in November 2022 during the National Youth Meet and in a meeting with the Managing Trustee and the All India President,he requested the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust to support in the relaunch of the Mahabodhi Karuna Charitable Hospital which was defunct for over 3 years during COVID.

The Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust in discussion with the All India President took a decision at lightening speed and approved the support in Phase 1.

August 4 witnessed the launch of the program in the presence of Ven.Bhikku Sanghsena, the UT Medical authority and the superintendent of the Govt Hospital, Brigadier Sanjeev Sharma, Chief of Medical services of Ladakh, Brigadier P Suresh , Commandant of Army Hospital, Ladakh, Major Sujatha Rao Chief Opthalmologist in the presence of media.

A letter of understanding was exchanged for the launch of the Project.

Soon after a medical camp by the visiting team was also held in the hospital amidst vedam chanting bhajans by the team. About 60 patients were seen on the day. After the program and the camp, the camp left for Namayur at 630 pm, a 3 hour drive in the mountain ranges for the next days camp in Skurbuchan in a police bus specially arranged by Ladakh Police .
