Visit of Shri. R. J. Ratnakar to the Southern District of Tamilnadu
Shri Ratnakar, Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, visited several places in Tamilnadu as part of his four-day visit to the state from 14th Aug 2019. During his visit to Sri Sathya Sai Ananda Nilayam at Madurai, he planted the first sapling inaugurating the mega project of planting one crore saplings/trees across the country before Bhagawan’s Centenary Birthday celebrations.
Office bearers of Sai Organisation, Balvikas Gurus and other individual had the benefit of the engaging interactive session with Shri Ratnakar who has been in the fold of Bhagavan since his childhood.
Angappan Kottam and the adopted village of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations was the next point of the visit where he visited the Sri Sathya Sai Muthu Mariamman Temple, which has been named after Swami as a mark of dedicated services rendered by the Sai Sevaks at this village. Form the temple, the entourage visited the nearby primary school which has been adopted under the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi program. A water filtration RO plant was dedicated to the school for providing clean drinking. Sports kits were also distributed to the children. This adopted village won Swachh Bharat Award securing the first place in the whole nation. Later on, Shri Ratnakar addressed the villagers and after inaugurating a Bhajan Mandali, he left for Sivakasi to address the devotees who assembled there.
Srivilliputhur, the temple town was Shri Ratnakar’s next spot in his four-day visit, where inside the Samithi premises he interacted with Office Bearers and devotees concluding the program with Vasthra Dhanam (clothes distribution).
At the Rajapalayam Samithi, Shri Ratnakar took an elaborate tour around the exhibition of various tools and equipment and took an ardent look at the improvised accessories of the Disaster Management Team, Tamilnadu. He wholeheartedly appreciated the excellent services rendered by the team during the recent natural calamities. In his talk addressing the devotees, narrating some of his personal interactions with Bhagawan, also narrated a few incidents from his life. At the request of many, he gave a brief talk in Telugu. The smiles on the faces of the devotees were a testimony of their happiness to listen to Swami’s Leela.
After this, the next places to visit were Dindigul and Tiruppur. In Tiruppur town, he visited Sri Sathya Sai Matriculation School and Ram Nagar Samithi. Recalling his fond memories, when he last visited this place way back in 1991 along with Bhagawan, he addressed a large gathering of devotees. He expressed his appreciation and happiness to all the members of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations there for their wonderful Service. The day’s program concluded with Mangala Aarti and Prasadam distribution.
On the fourth day, he visited Coimbatore, wherein he dropped into a couple of Samithis and from there to Naga Sai Mandir. This holy place holds in it the idol of Shirdi Sai Baba consecrated by the divine hands of Bhagawan Baba way back in 1961. There were more than 500 devotees assembled for the program which commenced with Veda Chanting followed by Bhajans and dance program by Balvikas children.
In the address before his leaving, Shri Ratnakar emphasised upon the need to engage in service with full faith and confidence in Bhagawan. He narrated several incidents and anecdotes from Swami’s life and concluded his talk with a prayer to Bhagawan. The program concluded with Mangala Aarthi and prasadam distribution.
