Details about the Go green Conference :-
“You have to realise that Nature is a manifestation of God. Hence, Nature should not be ignored. Nature is the effect and God is the cause. You should recognise the immanence of the Divine in the entire cosmos.”
~ Sathya Sai Baba, June 20, 1996
The above extract from Swami’s discourse is a profound one which exhorts mankind to realise that nature is manifestation of God and thus recognise its importance. He further explains that the five elements that make up all aspects of nature (ether, air, fire, water, and earth) exist in perfect harmony. Today however, as a result of Man’s excessive desires and overconsumption, nature is out of balance, resulting in increased natural disasters that we experience these days.
“Many natural catastrophes are entirely due to man’s behaviour. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, wars, floods, and famines and other calamities are the result of grave disorders in nature. These disorders are traceable to man’s conduct. Man has not recognised the integral relationship between humanity and the world of nature.”
~ Sathya Sai Baba, November 22, 1992
Thus, Man has to realise nature as an integral entity which is connected to his welfare in this whole scheme of creation. Thus, with a view to understand the inherent relationship between God, Nature, and Man and deliberate, discuss and device a way-forward to serve and preserve Nature in light of Swami’s profound guidance, the Sathya Sai International Organisation and the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, India have planned to organise an international conference on the theme “Go Green” on July 25th and 26th, 2018 in Prashanthi Nilayam.
The two-day conference will be a source of spiritual enrichment and environmental awareness, and will provide information on practical tips, public outreach methods, scientific and technical advances, resources and insights. It will also pave way for the role of the Sai Organisations in this very important task of preserving the Nature which is deeply associated with the prosperity of mankind. An exhibition is also planned to showcase projects implemented by Sai Organisations around the world in this mission.
