Aum Sri Sairam

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation ~ Delhi

The Management Committee of Sri Sathya Sai International Centre organised a very interesting and highly inspiring talk on Sunday, July 8th at the Sri Sathya Sai Auditorium. The talk was by Prof. (Dr.) Mohd. Hanif Khan Shastri, who is a learned Sanskrit scholar.

Prof. Khan Shastri is an Acharya in the Puranas and has a doctorate with his doctoral thesis being on ‘Comparative analysis of Gayatri Mantra and Surah Fatiah, with reference to meaning and importance’. He has endeavoured to promote communal harmony by highlighting similarities between Hindu and Muslim religions through his unique literary contributions in Hindi and Sanskrit. He is a recipient of the National Communal Harmony Award from the President of India.

The topic of the talk was “Brotherhood of Humankind and Fatherhood of God”. He quoted several verses of Bhagvad Gita and Vedas in his talk and compared them to Islamic teachings to bring out the commonality and universality of the religions. His lecture enthralled the audience and everyone felt motivated to explore the unity of faiths and was inspired to follow Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Saying, “Honour all religions. Each is a pathway to God. That is the right way of life.”

Jai Sairam!
