The All India President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, India (SSSSO) suggested to all the devotees to celebrate Bhagawan Baba’s 93rd Birthday as a Family festival Celebration with family members, relatives, friends and well wishers. He also advised to give food to poor, or take up a small service on this occasion or any small Seva.

To mark the auspicious occasion of the 93rd birthday of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the three districts of SSSSO, Uttarakhand organised the following activities:
In district Dehradun,the three active samitis organised various activities like, celebration of Mahila Diwas on 19th Nov, Swami’s Birthday on 23rd Nov beginning with Nagar sankritan followed by a Havan, Ashtotra namavali, Bhajan , Maha Narayan Seva and ending with a mega medical camp at Sai Centre ,Dehradun.
93rd Birthday celebration was carried out by Sri Sathya Sai Seva samithi, Auli (Chakrata) in tribal area with full vigour and enthusiasm by the village youth. Nagarsankirtan ,bhajan ,cake cutting and cultural programmes were the main attraction of the celebrations.
In the Haridwar district two samitis are active.They celebrated Swami’s 93rd Birthday through various activities as depicted through the pictures below.
On the auspicious occasion of Swami’s birthday, SSSSO, Nainital organised, Nagar sankirtan, havan , bhajan and a Bal Vikas programme, followed by cake cutting and Aarti to Swami.
Sathya Sai Seva Center-Jammu
Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Birthday celebration on 23rd November 2018,was celebrated at Sai Seva Center Halqa Marh Jammu with great enthusiasm and the programme started with the lighting of lamp by a few chosen devotees amidst the chanting of Mantra ‘ Asatoma Sadgamya,Tamasoma Jyotirgamya,Mrityorma Amritam Gamaya’.Thereafter the collective recitation of Ist Anuvakam of Sri Rudram was undertaken by all the devotees present. This was followed by Veda Mantra Recitation by the Balvikas children in their soulful voice.After this Sai Vidya Jyoti Certificates of Participation in Essay Competition held on the topic human values were distributed by some senior devotees among the 28 children of Indira Memorial Higher Secondary School Galwaday Chak and Sai Public School Bahu Fort Jammu. Dr.M.K.Turki, Secretary of Sai Prashanthi Trust, J & K released the Annual Report for the year 2017-18 of the Organisation after getting it blessed at the lotus feet of Bhagwan and gave brief account of the activities conducted by the State Organisation during the year and invited the devotees to wholeheartedly participate and join the service activities conducted by the organisation. It was followed by the Bhajan session for one hour duration and the programme concluded with the offering of Mangal Aarti to Bhagwan followed by distribution of Prasadam.
In the evening a select group of devotees from 7 P.M to 9 P.M celebrated Bhagwans 93rd Birthday with the Children of Blind School for Girls Roop Nagar Jammu where cake cutting was done by a visually impaired child and 40 other visually impaired girls of various age group residing in the School were served snacks and dinner with dedication and devotion by the volunteers of the organisation which brought loving smile on the these girls.One week ahead of the 23rd November 2018, twelve less privileged visually impaired girls of different age groups of this School were provided with Red Blazer Coats and fruits and a Geyser was also installed in the School Bathroom so that hot water facility during winter remains available to the girls of this School.”
The birthday celebration of Bhagawan was well attended by 300 devotees and 40 balvikas children.

Medchal- Malakajgiri district
On 23rd Nov 2018, Beloved Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s birthday was celebrated grandly at three villages namely Anantharam, Lakshmapur and Narayanpur of Shamirpet Mandal, Medchal – Malkajgiri District in Telangana state under Grama Seva Maha Yagnam.
- At Anatharam more than 70 villagers took part, at Lakshmapur around 80 and at Narayanpur it about 100 folk took part in the activity.
- Bhajan was sung in all the villages,followed by reading of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s message ending with enthusiastic cake cutting and distribution of laddus.
- 5 mahilas were identified and were presented with sarees and 5 challenged people were identified and given Amrutha kalasam.
At Thimayyapalli village In the sarpanch’s residence of Keesera Mandal 20 devotees participated. Bhajan was followed by pooja to Swami ending with Mangala Aarti
At Tukaram Gate: About 15 devotees participated in bhajan at Ramulugari house, ending with Mangala Aarti and Prasadam distribution.
At Machha Boloram and @ Masjidpur – 20 devotees gathered for Bhajan, and Prasadam. Sarees were distributed to the deserving.

93rd Birth day of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba was celebrated in Srinivasa Hospital, Tulsinagar Nalgonda, Telangana on 23/11/18 in the after noon by Swami Astotharam followed by cake cutting. Dr Jayaprakash Reddy distributed bed sheetsto a handicapped on behalf of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi Nalgonda. Patients and attendants joined celebration with joy.
In the evening birthday celebrations took place in the residence of Dr Jayaprakash Reddy at Sai Abhinay Enclave, Ramagiri Street, Nalgonda, TS. Families of apartment attended. Few Bhajans rendered followed by cake cutting and distribution of Swami Prasadam of sweet. Video of Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital Puttaparthi played for friends. Programme ended with Mangala aarti.

On 23rd November 2018, the family of Mrs. Priya Tandon and Mr. Sanjay Tandon celebrated our beloved Swamis birthday at their residence in Chandigarh as encouraged by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation.
We would like to thank the organisation for sharing this idea and our Swami for giving us the opportunity of having an enriching experience. The process of sharing our love for Swami with our family and well – wishers, thinking of him, praying to him and sharing our experiences brought us closer to our Lord. We celebrated the day with 21 people including family.
The festivities were commenced by giving everyone stickers of Swami to put on their clothes along with Bindis (with swami’s face in them) for ladies. Dinner was served with South Indian preparations after singing Brahmarpanam. This was followed by Bhajans during which a photo of swami was placed on a swing and given Jhoola, showing videos about Swami, Arathi and cake cutting. The evening was concluded by a talk by one of the sons (of the host) who shared his experiences about Swami.

Day -1: 19th November’2018 What a Holy day to start with, 19th Nov’18 is very auspicious day of Karthik Somavar (Monday) and also Ekadasi falling on the same day. We, #Saideenasakha started our Birthday Celebrations with the following activities.
- LIGHTING the Divine Lamp @ Shiva temple and the Abhishekham on this Karthika Somavar .
- After the Abhishekam, we have moved to our office and performed the Rudrabhishekham.
- Then we moved on to the Old Age home @ Kukatpally , the Sivananda Rehabilitation Home and served them with the food with Cake Cutting.
- Bhajan – Bhojan and followed with Clothes Distribution..
- Sang the glory of our Lord (Bhajans) followed with Mangala Harathi.
Day 2 –: 20th November’2018. Our Day started with the Divine Suprabhatham followed with regular Vedam Chanting and Sathya Sai Baba’s Ashthothata namavali and headed for the Narayana Seva. With his divine grace, we first offered the Brahmarpanam to our swami and then performed the Breakfast Narayana Seva at Sweekar Upkar Rehabilitation Home, Bowenpally, feeding around 100 children. These children are very well disciplined and kind enough to welcome us to serve them. Our hearts melted into tears looking at their destiny as they can’t hear and talk. We felt very much sorry the children’s fate and offered our humble prayers to Swami to take care of these children as he alone is the Anathanatha and Aapannivara of the entire Universe. We are pleased to express our joy as this was one of the best services which we have done when compared with others. Swami always says “Love is selflessness, self is lovelessness.” We experienced the same feeling while serving the children this morning. Once again, we offer our humble prayers to our Mother Sai to bless the entire world with Wellness and Selflessness to serve our own world around. Day 3 –: 21st November’2018. On 21st November 2018, our #SriSaiDeenaSakha 3rd continues day journey of Celebrations began with Morning Holy Suprabhatham and our regular puja offering Rudram Chanting and Sathya Sai Baba’s Ashthothata namavali. We finished the puja around 8 Am and by 9 we reached the venue of today’s Narayana Seva which is Niloufer Hospital, Lakdikapul, Hyderabad. Our Caravan was also ready with Swami’s alter decorated. We gathered there and offered our humble prayers by Chanting Sai Gayatri followed by Brahmarpanam to our swami. After the Brahmarpanam our volunteers gathered the crowd to assemble in line to take the Prasadam (Vegetable Upma). Around 350 people got the Prasadam today with his divine grace and blessings. The Prasadam was very yummy and the feedback was so good from the crowd they wished to have more and more. We filled their plates as much as we can and felt very sad that the quantity we made was not sufficient enough to serve them. We pray to swami to grant us more strength to serve more. We concluded the session of Narayana Seva with Harathi to our beloved Lord and moved back to our premises to gear up for tomorrow’s Seva activity. We are very much grateful to our God for granting us an opportunity to serve the needy every time. We seek his divine blessings to provide us more and more ways of serving the poor and to be his instruments useful for the society. We thank everyone who contributed their valuable time today to take part in the Narayana Seva. Day 4 –: 22nd November’2018. On Day 4, as it’s a Holy Thursday falling and just 24 hours more left for the Divine Birthday Celebrations to commence we firstly wished our lord an Advanced Birthday wishes. Our Day 4 service activity started with the Narayana Seva @ Sri Shiridi Sai Baba mandir which is our regular Service spot for every Thursday. Firstly, we offered our prayers to Swami and reached the temple around 8:30 Am and assembled the crowd to have the Prasadam. Today Prasadam includes the Idly with Chutney and Sambar &Vada and Kala Jamun (Sweet) as the menu. Around 200 people took the Prasadam and we are very much happy and thankful to swami for granting us this chance to serve them. The feedback of the Prasadam was very tasty and yummy with his blessings and many more waited to have the same but due to the fast moving items got completed. We sincerely thankful to the organization for allowing us every Thursday to provide us the place to do the Narayana Seva and also thankful for the volunteers in making their time for the service. Day 5 –: 23rd November’2018. Hurray! The Grand awaiting day has come “Bhagawan’s Birthday”. We wish the entire world a Very Happy Birthday to Our Dear Lord. Highlights: Suprabhatham Rudram Chanting & Abhishekam Sathya Sai Baba’s Ashtotharanamavali Bhajan Brahmarpanam Mangala Harathi Then we moved on to Celebratehis 93rd Birthday and organized a Maha Narayana Seva @ Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.Around 2000 crowd has been feeded on that day with the divine grace. Praying our Swami to bless us with his divine grace on us to grace his presence during the activity and make this program a grand success. Sairam!

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba was the chief Guest for the occasion. State president of SSSSO, AP Sri SG Chalam was the guest of Honor for the program. Sri Sitaram Babu, DP, East Godavari also graced the occasion. 500 Sevadal worked 24x7 to make arrangements and toiled their labor of love and done everything needed for the event a memorable for the rest of the year
Sai Madhura Vahini Orchestra rendered soulful songs making the place reverberant. 500 Amrutha Kalasams costing 3000 Rs, each were given to needy people to meet their daily needs, as these are the people who are down trodden and of absolute poverty. Eminent people, ardent devotees from all walks of life, across the coastal area have graced the program with deep gratitude for the Lord.
Sri KVN Murthi gave a spell bounding talk, extolling the glory of Bhagawan, Rendering more than 100 village names of villages nonstop where the water project done. Delicious feast with 8 varieties of swami’s prasadam was served to all the 15000 devotees assembled.
All the office bearers of the Organization have given a standing ovation to all the devotees gathered as a token of appreciation for their Service.
A Mega medical camp was held with the support of Gayatri Vidya Parishad Medical College and Visakha Eye Hospital. 1525 OP registrations were noted. Among them are 950 are General medicine cases, 150 are eye cases, 190 are gynecology cases and 72 have dental issues. 06 ECG and 60 lab investigations are done.
Balvikas teacher training certificates were given to all the teachers who participated in the Training program held at Rajahmundry.

a) BRINDAVAN ASHRAM: The day started with Suprabhatam andNagarsankeertan in Trayee followed by prayers to Trayeeswara along with Mangala Vadhyam.The morning programme included a colourful palaki procession and a special Sri Sai Sathyanarayana Puja with the priest detailing on Bhagawan’s Katha. The programme ended with bhajans and Maha Prasaadam.
The evening reverberated with a musical programme,titled, One with Sai, presented by students of Indira Nagar Sangeet Sabha. Later, a folk dance Dollu Kunitha was put up by members of Kadugodi Janapada Vedika. The evening concluded with Jhoola Mahotsavam, Mangala aarti and Maha Prasadam.
b) BANGALORE CENTRAL DISTRICT
Breakfast was served to an orphanage near Ulsoor by the Sai Geetha Bhajan mandali as part of Swami’s birthday celebrations. A Rathothsavam for Swami,notwithstanding the heavy downpour,was carried out by the Malleswaram samithi on 23rd evening.
c) BANGALORE EAST DISTRICT:
Marathahalli samithi offered 5000 pooris along with curry to 700 Narayanas in Home of Hope today as breakfast. Close to 70 youth (boys and girls) worked throughout the night to prepare the offering.
Swami’s birthday was celebrated in the SSSVJBalvikas centre, Valepura.,as well.
200 blankets were distributed by the Kundalahalli samitiin Kundalahalli and Hoodi settlements on Sunday, 25th November. The Marathahalli samiti performed Sri SathyaSai Sathyanarayana vratam on 26th November, Monday, on the auspicious occasion ofkaartika somavaarambahula tadiya aarudra nakshatram, when Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba had taken birth 93 yrs ago.
d) BANGALORE SOUTH:
Swami’s birthday was celebrated by distribution of new nighties and T-shirts to the inmates of NIMHANS.Vegetable pulao, fruit salad, cakes and laddoos were also distributed to about 400 inmates. The Mahila group of Sai Gitanjali visited Belaku Vridhashram, conducted bhajans and distributed prasaadamon 22nd November. At Sai Premanjali, Arekere,Narayana Seva was carried out for 500 people and rugs were distributed to 108 people . Pada Seva for Swami with Rudrakhas was also performed.
Meanwhile at Sai Sparshan, Koramangala, Homam and bhajans were conducted in the morning with a musical programme by Sri Neeraj and group,in the evening.
e) BANGALORE WEST DISTRICT:
A 93 Bhajan programme was conducted by the youth of Kamakshipalya. The Bhashyam circle samithicelebrated with bhajans.

Hospital seva was carried out in the Government Hospital on Swami’s birthday.
g) BAGALKOT DISTRICT:
Swami’s birthday was celebrated at Sri Sathya Sai School,Bagalkot.
While the Kasaba Jambagi samiti celebrated with prayers, the Mudhol Samithi, carried out Narayan Seva, serving more than 200 Narayanas on 23rd Nov. Rice and toordal packets were distributed , door- to- door in the slum area, covering almost 95 houses. The Mudhol samithi members rendered 93 Bhajans at the Divine Lotus Feet at Shirdi Sai Mandir from 12:00pm to 7:00pm followed by Mahaprasadam.Narayan Seva at Government Hospital was also carried out by the Vidyagiri Samithi.
h) BELGAUM DISTRICT:
Narayan sevawas performed by the Ramdurg samithi. The Hulkund Samiti, Belagavi district,celebrated Swami’s birthday with about 500 members. At the Kalloli samithi,Narayan seva,was done by the mahilamembers.The first Balvikas class for new students was conducted by the same samithi on Baba’s birthday.
The Gokak samithi youth members went around putting stickers with Swami’s quotes on 93 vehicles .Cake cutting was done by children and dramas were put up by the Balvikas Alumni. The Mahaveer NagarSamithi celebrated with bhajans.
i) BELLARY DISTRICT:
Birthday Celebrations in Sri Sathya Sai Free Coaching Centre, Ballari. Special Bhajans by students, Swami’s birthday cake cutting and study material distributed to the deserving students. In the SSSVJ School Gudar Nagar, slokas and bhajans were sung by the school children and birthday cake cut by the students.
In the Jindal Plant Samithi, 350 members participated in the birthday celebrations.
On the eve of Swami’s 93rd Birthday , Narahari Ashram Sri Sathya Sai Bhajan Mandali unit, Ballari, conducted a Namavali programme and presented a bouquet of 93 bhajansat the Lotus Feet of Swami.
j) BIDAR DISTRICT:
Swami’s birthday was celebrated at the Anatha Ashramin Bidar. Narayan Seva was also carried out at the Leprosy Centre.
k) BIJAPUR DISTRICT:
On the eve of Swami’s birthday, 93 continuous bhajans were sung by the Indi samiti .A Narayan sewa ,along with a hospital visit,was also organized on the occasion.
A bhajan kartik deepotsava cradle programme was performed by the Bijapur samithi. This was followed by distribution of mahaaprasadam.
l) CHIKBALLAPUR DISTRICT:
Birthday celebrations commenced with Nagarsankeerthan in the town of Bagepalli , which saw the participation of many devotees, teachers and students. Later in the day, hospital sewa was performed in a government hospital and two nursing homes.The total number of beneficiaries were around 85 in number.
Narayana sewa was also carried out which benefitted around 1500 narayans.Later, woollen blankets were distributed to selected beneficiaries. Books, school bags, writing material, blankets etc were distributed to selected students of the neighbouring government schools by the funds saved by the Bal vikas students who did not burn crackers during Deepawali.
Special evening bhajans were followed by Laksha deeporsavam in Ganesha and Nava Graha temples.
m) CHIKMAGALUR DISTRICT:
Members of SSSSO Chikmagalur,visited Jeevanasandhya and Annapoornavruddashrama, conducted bhajans there and delivered motivational talks to the inmates. Mahaprasadam was served at the end of the function. A Sai Gayatri Homa and Rudra Homa along with a palaki processionand a bike rally/procession were among the other things carried out on Swami’s birthday.
The Ajjampurasamithi carried out Narayan sewa,which also included distribution of fruits.
n) DAVANGERE DISTRICT:
Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Nikethana, Shasthrihalli, celebrated by hoisting the Prashanti flag. A procession with Swami’s photo and statue, Asthothara shathanama pooja of Swami by students and a talk on Swami and His teachings were the other activities which marked Swami’s birthday celebrations.
o) DHARWAR DISTRICT:
Nagar Sankeerthan followed by vibhuti abhishekam to Lord Shirdi Sai’s statue, bhajans, Palaki seva around the newly constructed mandir followed by singing of bhajans by Balvikas children were some of the highlights. Afterwards,a jhoola programme was performed by the lady devotees.
p) GULBARGA DISTRICT:
Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Vidya Nagar, visited theblind school and distributed fruits, biscuits and shirts to the children. The evening programme included a pallaki utsava followed by special bhajans. A detailed coverage of the samithi celebrationswas carried by the local TV channel .
q) HAVERI DISTRICT:
The Shiggaon samithi carried out nagarsankirtan. Cake cutting was done by deaf and dumb school children. Elderly couples of the locality were felicitated in a special ceremony.

Birthday celebrations carried out with full enthusiasm and gusto at the Madhur and Kasaragod samithis.

In Gangavathi, veda chanting and bhajans done,followed by skits by Balvikas students.
t) NORTH KANARA DISTRICT:
Bhagawan’s birthday celebrations at Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Hireshitta, Karwar,was witnessed by Smt Roopali Naik,MLA, Karwar- Ankola constituency.KARWARsamithidistributed fruits and sweets to the inmates of district hospital,jail, remand home, dumb and deaf school and at the Balmandir orphanage centre. Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Chatrakurve, Kumta, North Kanara,distributed sweets to nearby schools, visited Daya Nilaya school (intellectually challenged children school) to celebrate Swami’s birthday.
On the occasion of Bhagwan’s birthday , Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Dandeli, celebrated with Nagarsankirtan.In the afternoon, fruits and blankets were distributed to Government Hospital and ESI Hospital patients. Evening programme included Sri Sathya Sai Vratha and a special bhajan programme.
u) SHIMOGA DISTRICT:
Sri Sathya Sai Narayana Pooja carried out in the morning and evening bhajans with cake cutting at Sagara Samithi.
v) SOUTH KANARA DISTRICT:
Saree distribution to ladies at Puttur Samithi. Triambaka Shanthi Havana at Chokkadi. Fruit distribution at hospitals by Buntwal Samithi .Fruit distribution done at Bala Samrakshana Kendra kuthar padavu Mangalore by Mudipu samithi. Large number of devotees thronged to Mangalore Sevakshetra for bhajans. Cakes were baked by mahila devotees for Swami.
Chokkadi youths and school children distributed fruits at government hospital. Mangalore samithi donated prosthetics to3 deserving patients at Government Hospital.
3000 food packets,3000 laddoos and 3000 sweet lemons were distributed as part of Maha Narayan Seva. Beneficiaries were Vidya Jyothi schools,vridhashrams and slums and colonies in and around Mangalore.
w) TUMKUR DISTRICT:
Some devotees led by Sri Shivu Sai visited SSSVJ adopted schools to distribute books and student’s utilities. The morning programme started with 21 omkars and suprabhatam ,Nagara sankeerthan and concluded with mangalarathi. Prasaadam in the form of cake and sweets were distributed to the devotees.
x) UDUPI DISTRICT:
Felicitation of Smt Vinoda, HM of Govt. Primary School, Pernankila, Udupi samithi adopted school under SSSVJ Program,with Best Teacher Award from Education Dept., on the occasion of Swami’s 93rd birthday .Grocery worth Rs.10,000/- given to Spandana,an Intellectually challenged Childrens’ Home at Uppoor, Udupi on 22.11.2018 to mark Swami’s 93rd birthday.
Swami’s birthday also celebrated at Seva Sangama School, Vidyagiri, Tekkatte, Udupi district, where school Balvikas is conducted.
On the eve of Swami’s birthday Palki procession was done by Vasco samithi.
124 devotees participated including 8 balvikas children, 26 youth and 90 devotees.
In the evening Vasco samithi celebrated Swami’s birthday with cultural programmes. About 70 Balvikas students, 200 adults and 28 youth took part in the memorable celebrations
Mapusa samithi celebrated Swami’s birthday at Rashtroli temple Chichola Dhargal.
About 42 Balvikas students and 45 adults took part in the joyous celebrations. Many new people took part enthusiastically.
On the eve of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s birthday Palki procession was done by Karmali samithi.Approximately 250 devotees participated including 20 balvikas children.Additionally Narayan seva was done by Karmali and Ribandar samithi.Approximately 15 sevadal participated and around 300 beneficiaries were served.In addition simultaneously a Balvikas class was taken for children in the slum area.
In the evening Karmali and Ribandar samithi celebrated Swami’s birthday with Balvikas fancy dress competition and health tips by Dr. Bandodkar. Approximately 250 devotees attended function.
Sweets and Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s photo were given to the police personnel of Margao Police Station on occasion of Swami’s Birthday. They were happy to receive the love of the Lord in this form. Sweets were also distributed to the 108 ambulance service team.
Mahila Youth Team of Margao Samiti visited Mathruchaya an orphanage for girls at Gogol, Margao, Goa. They did cake cutting along with the kids and distributed birthday sweets to them. The kids enjoyed the presence of the youth team.
The evening program of the Celebrations started with veda chanting followed by a Blissfull Bhajan Session by the Bhajan Team who offered 3 beautiful songs at the Divine Lotus Feet. A small kid dressed up as Sri Sathya Sai added charm to the program and everyone felt blessed it was followed by cake cutting by the Balvikas kids. The program ended with beautiful Memories and everyone enjoyed the Pure Love of Swami.
