Aum Sri Sairam

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation ~ Maharashtra

Washim district in Maharashtra has many villages blessed by Bhagawan as they are under the umbrella of Sri Sathya Sai Village Integrated Programme (SSSVIP).

The water levels of some slums and villages in Washim district viz: Wakal Wadi, Kata, Dodaki reach dismal level every summer and the summer of 2018 was no different. Over 1400 families and close to 1200 cattle faced the stark reality of living without a single drop of water. Unable to bear this sight, the seva dal of nearby Brahman Wadi samithi of SSSSO Maharashtra & Goa, swung in to action and started supplying water through water tankers from April 4th 2018. Based on the condition of the water scarcity of the slum / village, the water tanker reaches these places either on a daily or bi-weekly frequency.

Heaving a sigh of relief by this arrangement, the villagers are extremely thankful to the ‘Love Army’ of Sri Sathya Sai Baba who have reached out to them in their troubled times. In return,  the seva dal of Washim District have resolved to supply water through the tankers till, the rains start. In parallel, plans for implementing rain water harvesting in these villages are also on. Rain water harvesting has been successfully implemented in many other villages across Maharashtra.
