Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation ~ Maharashtra & Goa

Date : June 2nd 2018

Mumbai – the city that never stops or sleeps did stop to show the world that THEY CARE! On the auspicious occasion of golden jubilee celebration of Dharmakshetra, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Mumbai, conducted a Mega Blood Donation Drive, to mitigate the problem of shortage of blood in municipal hospitals of Mumbai, at six railway stations viz: Churchgate, Dadar, Bandra, Borivili, Ghatkopar and Mulund. Over all response from all six camps held by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation was truly brilliant. 1148 packets of blood in this Mega Blood Donation Drive which were conducted in association with Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh and various Government hospitals.

A lot of volunteers including college youths and senior citizens spread across the crowded stations were appealing & motivating commuters for blood donation by spreading the message “Rakt Daan, Sarvsreshtha Daan” and message of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba – “Love All, Serve All”, “Service to mankind is Service to God.” Innovative skits were presented by youth and college students on the stations to motivate public to donate the liquid of Love.

Mumbaikars positively supported to the call given by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation and showed their love for humanity. They sweated in extreme heat of Mumbai to donate blood and spared their precious time during a working day. The wholehearted support to this cause and the way people patiently waited in the queue for donating blood – proved that though the city never stops, people here are truly enigmatic and will walk that extra mile for fellow human beings – even if it meant missing their much coveted train. The grace of Bhagawan was obvious during the entire day and also after the momentous blood donation camp, as the city received its first shower of rains!

Jai Sairam!
